Tomiko is an accountant and she
works for a large company in London. She’s the youngest of three children. Her
parents live in Glasgow far from London. This is Tomiko's first job and she
calls her parents every Sunday. Tomiko's parents think she is very young and
she can’t live alone but Tomiko laughs at that idea. She's twenty-three and
finished college last year. She tells them she is happy and everything will be
fine. Tomiko has to be at work by eight o’clock. She goes to work by bus,
because she doesn’t like to drive in the London traffic. After Tomiko leaves
her apartment, she hurries to the bus stop because she doesn’t want to miss the
bus. Tomiko is a good worker. She is very serious. At twelve o’clock she eats a
quick lunch. She comes back from lunch by twelve-twenty. She stops work at four
o’clock. She is tired by that time and happy to go home and relax. She gets home
around five o’clock, changes her clothes and watches TV, or listens to music.
